A Hop Wave Of Epic Proportions (Hershey, PA) – Tröegs Independent Brewing is introducing a new IPA that’s epic on so many levels.
Built with a sturdy grain bill of pilsner malt, Vienna malt and wheat, and hopped out of its mind on a combination of Citra, Sabro, Sultana and Simco, Tröegs HopCyclone is a massive 9% ABV Double Hazy IPA with bigtime ripe pineapple, soft citrus and juicy peach notes.
The art for HopCyclone was conjured up by Art of Tröegs alum Devin Watson. Fans of the brewery’s Double IPA fans might remember the Candyland-inspired art he did for LolliHop India Pale Ale.
“I call myself a design parrot,” says Devin. “I can take a lot of styles and be fluid with them, make them my own. For the HopCyclone label, I imagined these groovy ’60s hop graphics and seeing them swirl all around the can.”

An Offer You Can’t Refuse (Fairmont, IN) – Recently named the “2020 Best Brewery in Indiana” Bad Dad Brewing is a family run business started by a dad (read: Bad Dad) and his sons. And they’ve a Shandy, not our favorite beer style, which we can’t help but endorse, if only for its humorous name. Brewed true to the European Radler style, Bad Dad The Sodfather is a 4.2% ABV Radler/Shandy could be a beer “that you can’t refuse.”
An Evacuation Sensation (Cape May, NJ) – Cape May Brewing is marking the US hurricane season by returning a legend. Cape May Coastal Evacuation is a blustery 8% ABV West Coast-style India Pale Ale with surprising notes of orange, citrus and honeydew melon.
A Porter “To Die For” (Longmont, CO) – Oskar Blues is returning popular seasonal which has developed a rabid cult following over the years. Seamlessly melding balanced notes of bittersweet cacao and creamy coconut, Oskar Blues Death By Coconut is an award-winning 6.5% ABV Porter that earned a silver medal at the GABF in the chocolate beer category.
