February is just flying by and American craft brewers are addressing things with an exciting roster of new beers you’re gonna want to have around.

Trouble Times Two (Hershey, PA) – Just in time to fight the winter doldrums and post-holiday blues, Tröegs Independent Brewing has released an interesting spin on its iconic once-a-year Imperial Amber Ale, Nugget Nectar. An uber-limited release built around one of Nugget Nectar’s key ingredients: Simcoe hops, Tröegs Double Nugget Nectar is a 9.5% ABV Imperial Amber Ale with complex notes of apricot, peach rings and juicy orchard fruit.

“My favorite meeting is with our Scratch Beer creative team,” said brewmaster and co-founding brother John Trogner. “That’s where we came up with the concept of Double Nugget. Bringing this beer to life proved to be a fun balancing act. Built around Simcoe hops, one of Nugget Nectar’s key ingredients, Double Nugget exhibits bold notes of apricot, peach rings and bright citrus.”

A Mind Melt (Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker Brewing has a bold new addition to its growing family of Mind Haze IPA variations and this one is unapologetically aggressive. Dry hopped twice to create lush and floral nose,  Mind Haze Brain Melter is an 8.5% ABV Imperial Hazy IPA, with double the normal amount of hops, and layers of textures and flavors. The secret to Brain Melter is its blend of hops focused on Vic Secret, Strata and Citra.

“We did a lot of trials and everyone on the brewing team picked this hop combination,” Brynildson said. “Brain Melter is a beer that doubles down on everything we love about Mind Haze–mouthwatering tropical flavors with a bit more octane to give it an extra punch.”

, New Beer Alert: Late Winter Seasonals That DeliverBright & Buzz-Free (White Plains, NY) – Paulaner USA has a buzz-free take on its popular Radler, the half-beer, half-fruit soda refresher that was invented by a German innkeeper, Franz Kugler as a refreshment that catered to sports cyclists back in the roaring 20s. The popularity of the Radler (also called a Shandy in the US) spread throughout Europe and has found its own rabid following here in the states.

Many think that German brewers craft the best Radlers in the world and Paulaner USA has a new non-alcoholic variation and Paulaner Weizen-Radler 0.0% is as good as the original, and the original is one of the best we’ve ever tried.
