Few craft breweries think as big as BrewDog and no craft brewing organization in the world has their current scale and reach. And now BrewDog Le Marais has arrived in the “City of Lights.”

Here’s the deal…

To understand the intrinsic importance of BrewDog’s UK and international bar network one only has to look to the traditional pub and brewery distribution system in the United Kingdom, where large pub chains serve as outlets for company sanctioned beer that is served chain wide.

Some UK breweries such as Fuller’s have opted to cut out the middleman and build their own network of pubs that cater almost exclusively to their brand…And over the years BrewDog has been building a national and international network of bars with a similar model.

Last January the company announced plans to open eleven new BrewDog Bars in some of the world’s most exciting cities, and as part of that initiative, they’ve just opened their first operation in Paris.

Located in one of the capital’s most historic and storied areas, BrewDog Le Marais is just a twenty minute stroll from Notre-Dame and the River Seine…and less than a ten minute walk from the world-famous Pompidou Centre to the west.

Literally around the corner from the Picasso National Museum, BrewDog’s newest international bar is the first of two planned to open this year in Paris and it’s a shot across the bow of a country known more for its wine heritage than for brewing beer.

Because this is France BrewDog’s newest international gathering place will also feature wine, spirits and artisan eats, but the emphasis BrewDog Le Marais will always be on what they do best and that’s brewing serious beer.

With BrewDog’s much anticipated Paris bar now a done deal, the company is looking to other French cities to extend their brand…Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux and Toulouse are already on their shortlist, and you can weigh in with your own favorite location HERE.
