Blue Moon Brewing Celebrates Rare Blue Moon with Free Beer

Blue Moon Brewing is celebrating a “once in a decade” lunar event this week and, trust us, a Super Blue Moon is something to toast.

Here’s the deal

The phrase “once in a blue moon” speaks to something being extremely rare and its roots can be traced back to astronomical event that’s happening this week. On Wednesday August 30 a rare celestial spectacle will be occurring: a super blue moon, the biggest and brightest moon of 2023.

A seasonal Blue Moon (which ironically isn’t actually blue) is the third Full Moon of an astronomical season that has four Full Moons. A monthly Blue Moon is the second Full Moon in a calendar month with two Full Moons. We get to see a Supermoon around 3-4 times a year.

And this week’ celestial happening combines all these occurrences creating a spectacular lunar event that NASA says only happens every 10 years!

So Blue Moon Brewing is celebrating this uber- rare event with its own uber-rare event, a free Blue Moon Beer (you know the popular Belgian Wheat Ale that’s even better with an orange garnish?) at selected bars in selected cities, if you bring in your own orange.
