Happy Birthday America! The Fourth of July is almost here and much of the country has already bailed on work and is in total holiday mode.

Independence Day, first and foremost, commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. But it’s also a time for friends and family, parades and barbecues, concerts, baseball games and parties.

And needless to say it’s a great time for beer, which remains the Fourth’s go-to beverage.

So with that in mind, we canvassed the American craft beer landscape for you and came up with ten tasty brews you might want to celebrate your holiday with…

 Founders All Day IPA

• Brewery: Founders Brewing Co.
• Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan
• ABV: 4.7%
• Tasting Notes: This session IPA is perfect for a long day of celebration. It has a balanced flavor profile with citrus and pine notes, and a light, crisp finish.
• Our Take: The first Session IPA in the nation, it remains a classic. And Its lower ABV makes it ideal for sipping throughout the day without feeling too heavy or too buzzed.

Sierra Nevada Summerfest

• Brewery: Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
• Location: Chico, California
• ABV: 5.0%
• Tasting Notes: This pilsner-style lager is refreshing and easy to drink, with light malt flavor and a hint of hops.
• Our Take: Sierra Nevada is one of the most accomplished large craft breweries in the country. They don’t brew bad beers.

Dogfish Head SeaQuench Ale

• Brewery: Dogfish Head Craft Brewery
• Location: Milton, Delaware
• ABV: 4.9%
• Tasting Notes: A unique combination of a session sour, Berliner Weisse, and Gose, this ale has a tart, citrusy flavor with a hint of salt.
• Our Take: If ever there was a “gateway sour” this beer is it. And it pairs excellently with seafood.

Lagunitas DayTime IPA

• Brewery: Lagunitas Brewing Company
• Location: Petaluma, California
• ABV: 4.0%
• Tasting Notes: A light, session IPA with tropical fruit aromas and a dry, hoppy finish.
• Our Take: Like Founders All Day, this is a beer you can enjoy it all day long without feeling weighed down. It’s a very solid Independence Day option that should not be overlooked.

 Bell’s Oberon Ale

• Brewery: Bell’s Brewery
• Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan
• ABV: 5.8%
• Tasting Notes: This American wheat ale is brewed with malted wheat and has a spicy hop character with fruity aromas.
• Our Take: In a beer world dominated by IPAs, the resilience of this 5.8% ABV Wheat Ale, brewed with wheat malt, hops and spices, and fermented with Bell’s signature house yeast, is truly amazing.

New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Juicy Haze IPA

• Brewery: New Belgium Brewing Company
• Location: Fort Collins, Colorado
• ABV: 7.5%
• Tasting Notes: A hazy, New England-style IPA with a burst of tropical fruit flavors and a smooth, creamy finish.
• Our Take: The whole Voodoo Ranger IPA line has been a huge success story for New Belgium. Although a bit stronger that many of these beers, its juicy and refreshing profile makes for something special.

Samuel Adams Boston Lager

• Location: Boston, Massachusetts
• ABV: 5.3%
• Tasting Notes: Its balanced caramel malts and floral Noble hops make it a versatile, crowd-pleasing choice for any barbecue.
• Our Take: From its patriotic label to its rich, traditional tones, this American craft beer classic couldn’t be more “4^th of July. We owe so much to our nation’s founders as well as to Jim Koch who founded Boston Beer back in 1984

Shiner Bock

• Location: Shiner, Texas
