Summer is ON and American craft brewers are celebrating the warming weather with a new roster of inventive beers that you’ll wnt to chase down.
Bright Stuff (Hood River, OR) – Ferment Brewing which opened in 2018 as a 20-barrel brewery and tasting room overlooking the Columbia River in Hood River, Oregon has a new addition that we can’t wait to get our hands on. Brewed with a smart menu of Centennial, Cascade, Mosaic, and Idaho 7 hops Ferment Bright West IPA is a 6.5% ABV West Coast-Style India Pale Ale with a juicy, fresh-cut pine and grapefruit zest character, a touch of rose blossom and a balanced bitterness.
“We’ve been drinking a lot of West Coast IPA and are thrilled that people are turning back to the style,” said Ferment Brewing Brewmaster Dan Peterson. “We’ve brewed numerous West Coast IPAs as rotating seasonals but knew we wanted to have one in the year round lineup. So we started dialing in a new recipe and landed on one that showcases and balances a bold blend of classic Pacific Northwest hops.”

Passion Play (St Louis, MO) – The first independent craft brewery in St. Louis, Missouri, Schlafly Beer has big new summer release that’s a fruit-forward take on the brewery’s iconic Tasmanian IPA. Juiced to the max with the addition of passionfruit during fermentation, Schlafly Imperial Passionfruit Tasmanian IPA is a massive 9% ABV India Pale Ale notes of pineapple and citrus that give way to any uber smooth finish.
“With Imperial Passionfruit Tasmanian IPA, our brewers have embraced bold innovation while honoring our tradition of crafting exceptional beers,” CEO David Schlafly explains. “This release builds on the legacy of our ground-breaking Tasmanian IPA, which is one of the first in the nation to showcase Australian-grown Galaxy hops, by adding vibrant passionfruit for a tropical twist. It’s an exciting addition to our summer lineup, offering a refreshing yet powerful flavor experience for craft beer enthusiasts.”
