Summer is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with intriguing new offerings you’re gonna want to have around.
Greta Van Beer Is Here (Grand Rapids, MI) – Founders Brewing, which is now part of Mahou USA, has a new collaboration they did with the popular Michigan band, Greta Van Fleet, an American rock band from Frankenmuth, Michigan.
Greta Van Fleet was formed in 2012, and its bandmates have long been big craft beer fans.
After several years of beer collaborations with small out-of-state brewers, the band wanted to work with a Michigan brewery and Founders Brewing was just as excited to partner with “the Fleet” on this special limited release. A smooth, citrusy dinking experience that is named to commemorate the band’s forthcoming musical release “Starcatcher,” Founders 4 Giants Starcatcher Haze is a 6.6% ABV India Pale Ale with bright grapefruit, orange and tropical notes and a juicy lemongrass and honey finish.
Big Yikes! (San Diego, CA) – Modern Times Beer has just released the second original beer from its Double India Pale Ale Series. Built from a simple malt bill of Two Row, Oat Malt, and Flaked Oats, Modern Times Big Yikes Hazy Double IPA is an 8.5% ABV India Pale Ale with big tropical fruit, berry, and mango aromas and an uber-juicy mouthfeel.
“We dry-hopped Big Yikes with heaps of HBC 586, Citra Cryo, and Mosaic Cryo,” said Rob Wyngard, VP of Operations. “It’s delightfully drinkable and a veritable hop machine.”
Chill Pils (Boulder, Co) – Upslope Brewing has a new addition to its International Lager Series that we can’t wait to get our hands on. Brimming with fresh and floral Loral and Tettnanger hops, Upslope German Style Pilsner is a 4.9% ABV limited release with a refreshing crispness and snappy carbonation.
