New Beer Alert: Mexican Lagers And Hazy Juice Bombs

May is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with exciting new beers you’re gonna want to have around.

Get Dusted (San Diego, CA) – Pure Project, a California Brewery with a passion for sustainability, seasonality, and the small details has transitioned one of the brewery’s “Murky IPAs” (that’s a new for us) to its year-round beer lineup which already includes which includes Tropical Mist (citrus blonde ale), Rain (pilsner), Pure West (West Coast IPA), and Rove Adventure Beer (light lager).

Developed using a combination of the aforementioned hop varietals, a four-grain blend, and Pure Project’s proprietary murky IPA yeast strain, Diamond Dust is a 6.7% ABV Hazy IPA that virtually shines with a heavy dose of Cashmere from Michigan and hand-selected Mosaic hops from the Pacific Northwest.

“Diamond Dust was one of our first murky brews, which is our term for hazy IPAs,” says co-founder and brewer, Winslow Sawyer. “It debuted in 2017 as a specialty release and we brought it back year and year again due to its popularity.”

Baja-Inspired (Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing has a new summer release which was born in Southern California but vibrantly influenced by our neighbors to the south. Balanced, ultra-crisp and refreshing, Stone Buenaveza Salt & Lime Lager is 4.7% ABV Mexican Lager with just the right amount of lime and sea salt and a touch of sweet malt.

Haze Daze (Hershey, PA) – Tröegs Independent Brewing has released something interesting, a beer that combines the clean, crisp bitterness of a West Coast IPA with the softness of a hazy India Pale Ale. Envisioned as a companion to the brewery’s popular Perpetual IPA, Tröegs Perpetual Haze is a 7.5% ABV Hazy India Pale Ale smooth, pillowy mouthfeel thanks to London 3 yeast and a grain bill featuring a blend of malted barley and raw wheat.

Into The Strata-Sphere (Long Beach CA) – SoCal’s Beachwood Brewing has partnered with El Segundo Brewin on a new May limited release that’s out of this world.” A homage to the aerospace industry that defines their brewing ethos, Beachwood/El Segundo Eyes To The Sky IPA is a 7.1% ABV West Coast-Style India Pale Ale that’s hopped out of its mind on Simcoe, Strata, & Columbus varietals.
