Beer Alert: New India Pale Ales Worth Your Time

March is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with a full slate of new IPAs you’re gonna want to chase down.

Turning Up The Volume (Paso Robles, CA ) – Firestone Walker is turning up the volume with a special Propagator Series release that comes with specially curated musical soundtrack to elevate the drinking experience and is ONLY available in the brewery’s latest canned IPA Mixed Pack.

Conceived at Firestone Walker’s Propagator R&D brewhouse in Venice and perfected at the main Paso Robles brewery, Firestone Blanc Noise is a highly stylized 6% ABV Hazy IPA which leans heavily on Germany’s Hallertau Blanc hop with its signature notes of white wine, lemongrass and tropical fruit.

Blanc Noise is rolling out to all Firestone Walker markets in the canned IPA Mixed 12 Pack, joined by Union Jack, Mind Haze and the new Hopnosis IPA.

A Star Is Born (Portland, OR) – Ecliptic Brewing has a new collaboration that it did with Seattle’s Reuben’s Brews that combines the instincts of both breweries bestselling beers. Ecliptic Starburst IPA is the company’s flagship IPA, while Crikey IPA is Reuben’s first ever American IPA, and also their flagship. And Ecliptic + Reuben’s Brews Cri-Star IPA, whose name plays on the two originals, is a bright 6.8% ABV collaboration India Pale Ale bursting with Simcoe, Mosaic, Amarillo, Azacca, Centennial, and Citra hops.

“We have had a lot of fun with this beer,” said Ecliptic’s Owner and Brewmaster, John Harris, says. “When Adam (Reuben’s Co-Owner) and I were brainstorming ideas, we thought, why not celebrate our two most popular beers? And we started working out a recipe for a mashup of the two.”

A Touch Of The Tropics (Hood River, OR) – The award-winning Full Sail Brewing has new year round IPA that you’re gonna need to try. Melding the smooth synchronicity of pale malt and oats with the massive punch of Mosaic and Citra hops, Full Sail Tropic Supreme IPA is an elegantly balanced 7% ABV West Coast Style India Pale Ale with bright notes of green and orange melon, citrus, and stone fruits.
