February is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with exciting new beers you’re gonna want to have around.

Brewed By Hop Freaks For Hop Freaks (Boulder, CO) – After months of innovation and taproom trials, Avery Brewing, the first brewery to package an “India Pale Ale” in Colorado almost thirty years ago, is launching the Hop Freaks Exploration Series – a new line of IPAs brewed by hop freaks for hop freaks.

One of two new India Pale Ales to be released in the series, Avery Clear Horizons is a crisp, clean and clear 7.1% ABV India Pale Ale with a brilliant clarity, a vibrant blend of tropical hop flavor, and a balanced bitterness.

“Back when we developed Avery IPA in 1996, the India Pale Ale beer style was typically too bitter for many craft beer lovers. Times have certainly changed, and for the better!” said Adam Avery, Founder of Avery Brewing Company. “Using our new pilot system, we were able to experiment with new styles, unique hops, different yeast strains, and innovative brewing techniques to develop IPAs that are unlike any that we’ve brewed before. I’m very proud of where we’ve landed with these new IPAs, and we hope Avery fans agree.”

Grizzly Stuff (Dallas / Fort Worth, TX) – Fort Worth’s Bruce Alford, bartender at Ye Olde Bull & Bush and the roaster behind Fort Worth Coffee Emporium, has collaborated with Dallas’ Lakewood Brewing on an eye-opening new release.  The latest in the brewery’s Mechanical Series, Lakewood Mechanical Grizzly is a full-bodied 6.7% English Brown Ale with rich coffee and toffee notes that linger.

“Our Mechanical series is a limited one-and-done series that allows our team to have fun and experiment with flavors and styles,” said Lakewood Founder Wim Bens. “Our fans are always looking for the latest innovative concoction our mad scientists come up with. Mechanical Grizzly is all of that with added benefit of bringing together local beer and local coffee.”

Just For The Helles Of It (DC / California) – SoCal’s The Bruery has a new limited release that we can’t wait to get our hands on. Inspired by old-world brewing techniques in the likeness of the traditional name The Bruery Ruekeller: Helles is a 5.2% ABV Helles-Style Lager with a light bitterness, a touch of sweetness, and a clean crisp finish.
