Feeling Summery (Vista, CA) – Iron Fist Brewing has released its first “taproom only” seasonal beer EVER. Described as “the perfect marriage of Hazy Pale Ale and American Wheat Beer, “ Iron Fist That Summer Feeling is a 5.4% ABV Hazy Wheat Ale with big pineapple, stone-fruits and mango notes and a light floral finish.
Strawberry Fields Forever (Abita Springs, LA) – Louisiana’s first and largest craft brewery, Abita Brewing is upping a seasonal favorite that was created 15 years ago for a local strawberry festival to a year-round. Brewed with juicy, ripe Louisiana strawberries, harvested at the peak of the season, Abita Strawberry Lager is a 4.2% ABV fruit-forward refresher made with Pilsner and Wheat malts and an abundance of Vanguard hops.
Taste Da Rainbow! (Kihei, HA) – Inspired by summer’s breezes, Maui Brewing has returned a popular favorite. Light, tart and summer-ready, Maui Rainbow Tart Saison is a 5.5% ABV kettle-soured limited release with wine-like esters and tart, lychee, mango, passionfruit, and berry flavors.
Fake Brews (Charlotte, NC) – What started as a one-off beer for Birdsong Brewing in 2014 has become a summer tradition…and so has its annual return. Brewed with Sorachi Ace, Cascade and Comet hops, Birdsong Fake Plastic Trees is a 6.4% ABV Hazy IPA that shares the same name as a Radiohead song.
Living Up To The Challenge (Cloverdale, CA) – Bear Republic has a new addition to its Challenge Series, a lineup of one-time-only craft ales inspired by competitive racing and modern taste trends. With label art paying homage to the competitive racing world and brewed to be enjoyed uber-fresh, Bear Republic Releases Challenge Series #70 Purple Lightning IPA is a 6.7%% ABV a hazy melon-bomb India Pale Ale without the intense bitterness of a typical West Coast IPA.
