The Winter holidays are ON. And American craft brewers are addressing things with an exciting roster of new beers that suit this special time of year.
A Showcase of Citra (Chico, CA & Mills River NC.) – Sierra Nevada Brewing has a new addition to its Limited Hazy Series, an innovation line of beers dedicated to exploring new hop flavor experiences within the popular Hazy IPA beer style.
Crafted to highlight everything special about the Citra® hop variety, from its bright citrus aroma to its juicy flavor, Sierra Nevada Citra® Little Thing, is a 7.5% ABV India Pale Ale with the bright, citrusy pop of Citra® hops and the silky-smooth drinkability of a Hazy IPA.
“To me, great beer is all about the details of the drinking experience,” said Brian Grossman, Chief Brewer and second-generation brewery owner at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. “With Citra® Little Thing we wanted to showcase everything that makes Citra® special—its bright citrus, punchy aromatics, and unmistakable juiciness. We built the entire beer around that hop expression, then refined the haze and body to let Citra® shine.”

(Lone Tree, CO) – Founded by John Winter in 2011, Lone Tree Brewing Company is an independent, community-focused craft brewery known for its neighborhood-friendly (and dog friendly!) tasting rooms and a stylistically diverse lineup of year-round, seasonal, and limited-release beers. And they are celebrating their 14th anniversary with something special.
A bright fruit-forward showcase of modern hop expression, 14 Rings is an 8.7% ABV India Pale Ale with layers of pear, tropical citrus, stone fruit and berry tones built on a crisp base of pilsner malt and rice for a clean ultra-light canvas. Smooth, vibrant and deceptively drinkable, this special “Anniversary IPA” finishes dry, while delivering a full spectrum of lush hop flavor.
