Summer will soon be a memory and American craft brewers are addressing the changing season with an intriguing roster of beers you’re gonna want to have around.
Candy Oh! (Souderton, PA) – Asher’s Chocolate Co., an award-winning, family-owned confectionery and chocolate maker, and Conshohocken Brewing have joined forces to craft something special
Crafted with Asher’s premium chocolate, peanuts, fresh pumpkin, natural vanilla, and a touch of lactose to keep things creamy, Conshohocken & Asher’s Chocolate Co Chocolate Peanut Butter Autumn Ale is a robust and distinctive 6.4% ABV limited release that combines the best of both worlds.
“It was great to see that our fans were as excited about the first collab as we were, and we’re confident they’re going to love this just as much” said William Livingston, Brand Director at Conshohocken Brewing Co. “Ultimately, this is what makes the brewing industry so rewarding; meeting new people and sharing a passion and enthusiasm for what you’re doing, all while making a positive impact.”
The classic pairing of chocolate and peanut butter is universally adored, and we are eagerly anticipating the blend of flavors in this one-of-a-kind beer,” added Chester Asher, Marketing Director at Asher’s Chocolate Co. “What truly makes this collaboration special is our ability to innovatively come together and contribute to our community in a meaningful way.”
And in the spirit of community commitment, a portion of the proceeds from this limited release collaboration beer will benefit pediatric cancer research.
Festbier Done Right (Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker Brewing has returned a classic that’s an oak-inspired homage to the great Bavarian tradition of Oktoberfest. A seasonal staple at the California brewery dating back to the inaugural release in 2006, Firestone Oaktoberfest is a rich 5.2% ABV Oak Aged Lager with an uber-smooth mouthfeel, a crisp malt profile and hints of noble German hops. The recipe has evolved over the years, but recent tweaks have taken the beer to new heights.
A portion of the beer is lagered in French oak barrels inherited from one of Napa Valley’s top cult wineries. The oak-barrel lagering allows for an even smoother texture, all while remaining true to the beer’s crisp malt profile and hints of noble hops.
“Oaktoberfest is a beer that has stood the test of time,” said Brewmaster Matt Brynildson. “In fact, I believe that more and more craft drinkers are yearning for beers like Oaktoberfest. There’s a certain nostalgia to the style—smooth, sessionable, flavorful and malt-forward. It’s the kind of beer that you naturally crave as summer turns to fall.”
Bodacious (Baltimore, MD) Heavy Seas Beer, Maryland’s first and largest craft brewer has a new release that pays homage to the brewery’s deep-rooted Maryland heritage. Artfully blending a malty richness with a refreshingly dry finish, Heavy Seas BOHdacious Blonde is a 4.5% ABV Blonde Ale that we suspect was created to fill the vacuum left by the departure Guinness Blonde, a local fav, that with the closing of the Guinness Baltimore production facility is no longer.
