The Winter holidays are ON and “Dry January” soon to come. And American craft brewers are addressing things with an exciting roster of new beers that suit both the holidays and the month that follows.

East Brother Celebrates The Winter Holidays (Richmond, CA) – East Brother Beer Co. is closing out its 2025 Seasonal Series with a classic, a classic that’s perfect for the Winter Holidays. Malt-forward but crisp, flavorful without feeling weighty, East Brother Munich Dunkel, a 5.2% ABV Bavarian-inspired Dark Lager that pours a deep mahogany with ruby glints and a light tan head.

For the Richmond, California brewery,  its Seasonal Series has always been about celebrating the fundamentals. No gimmicks, no chasing what’s hot, beers brewed to showcase technique, balance, and a respect for the styles that built beer culture in the first place. Long before pale lagers ruled the world, the Munich Dunkel was Bavaria’s everyday beer: smooth, steady, and brewed to be enjoyed with another.

“Munich Dunkel feels like the right beer to close the year,” said co-founder Rob Lightner. “It’s simple on the surface, but deeply satisfying when you take the time to notice it. That’s what we’re trying to protect — beers that reward patience.”

In a craft beer landscape that constantly spins out new styles, twists, and limited releases, East Brother’s approach is refreshingly steady. Their goal hasn’t changed: brew with intention and keep the Bay Area connected to timeless beer traditions.

“Every fall, people reach for beers that feel grounding,”  head brewer Craig Enman added. “The Dunkel is exactly that. It’s familiar, comforting, and made with the same care that built this brewery.”

Bit By Bit (Germany) – The international migration to non-alcoholic beers was first felt in Europe so it’s not surprising that the newest release  from the historic Bitburger brewery, offers the full flavor of a traditional beer with zero alcohol content.

Brewed using only water, barley malt, hops, and hop extract, adhering to the German Beer Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot), Bitburger 0.0% is a  robust non-alcoholic German Pilsner that is rich in vitamins and true to the original, just without all that baggage. This beer is fully fermented, and the alcohol then carefully removed, which helps preserve the lagers authentic flavor profile, unlike too many non-alcoholic beers where fermentation is stopped early.

“We’re thrilled to see more and more people across the country enjoying Bitburger 0.0., and recognize several factors contributing to our success,” says Scott Baver, Bitburger USA. “There’s an undeniable movement in the industry to cleaner more traditional beers such as a premium German Pilsner and 0.0, as the no-alc space is one of the fastest growing segments in the beverage industry.”
