Winter is ON but spring is coming and American craft brewers are addressing things with a full slate of new beer offerings to help you weather the transition.
Whiskey Trained (Denver, CO) – River North, a brewery renowned for its imperial stouts and barrel aged beers, has been working for over a year on a new 10-year anniversary beer that pushes the limits of anything its brewers have ever crafted. Aged consecutively in two types of bourbon barrels, and finished in fresh Colorado straight whiskey barrels for 4-6 months at a time, River North Anniversary 10 Stout is a MASSIVE 22.04% ABV Imperial Stout that needs to be immediately consumed before it gets outlawed.
Boldly Not Juicy Or Hazy (Salt Lake City, UT / Denver, CO) – Responding to the growing masses who’ve tired of the whole Hazy IPA thing, Epic Brewing’s latest limited release is yielding to the cold. Brewed using American Lager Yeast and a cold fermentation process, making for a crispier and cleaner beer, Epic Yelling At Clouds is a 6.5% ABV “Cold” IPA that’s crafted with mounds of Sabro, Simcoe, and Idaho7 hops added throughout the boil.

Everything’s Coming Up Roses (Baltimore, MD) – DuClaw Brewing has a bright and citrusy limited release that was inspired by the legendary French 75 cocktail. DuClaw Rose Colored Glasses is a 7.1% ABV Sour Ale crafted with chardonnay grape juice, rose water, and lemondrop hops. Its cheerful label art features a QR code linking to a mellow Spotify playlist, curated by the DuClaw team.
