American Craft Brewery Lineup – New Beers From Stone For 2017
With 2016 well in the rear-view mirror, American breweries are positioning themselves in an increasingly competitive environment, with new additions to their portfolios. And here’s what Stone Brewing has planned for 2017.
Year- Rounds
Stone Brewing is beefing up their core lineup which now includes Stone IPA, Stone Delicious IPA, Stone Go To IPA and Stone Ruination Double IPA 2.0 with two additional year-round offerings.
Stone Ripper – Inspired by the coastal surf cultures of both Southern California and Australia, the intensely aromatic deep golden Stone Ripper is a 5.7 % ABV Pale Ale that’s a nod to both regions and a melding of each country’s acclaimed hop variations (Cascade and Australian Galaxy).
Stone Tangerine Express IPA – Scheduled to ship in early February. Described as “big, bold and not for kids,” Stone Tangerine Express IPA is 6.7% India Pale Ale brewed with whole tangerine purée and just a hint of pinnacle it its backbone
Seasonals and Special Releases
Six seasonals are scheduled for 2017 including the return of favorites like Stone Xocoveza and Stone Pataskala Red X IPA.
New beers and special variations will make seasonal appearances including Stone Jindia Pale Ale (a double IPA that’s brewed with gin botanicals) and Stone Mint Coffee Milk Stout.
2017 Collaborations
Stone has six uber-interesting collaborations planned for 2017, three with a serious heavy metal vibe as unruly as Stone’s.
The first is a Double IPA/ Hoppy Wheat Ale hybrid that Stone did with Colorado’s Odell and New Mexico’s Marble Brewing that’s fueled on Motueka, Mandarina Bavaria and Mosaic to produce big tropical, citrus and stone fruit flavors.
Subsequent collaborations will include two more heavy metal-themed beers, Maine / Stone Dayslayer Imperial Pale Lager and Beavertown / Garage Project / Stone Fruitallica IPA.
Stone Hop Revolver Series
The opening of Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station back in 2013 has allowed the brewery even more opportunity to play with new single hop IPAs and they’ll be releasing ongoing variations of them in 2017 as part of their Stone Mixed Packs program.
