AMERICAN CRAFT BEER’S 4th OF JULY WEEKEND PICKS
AMERICAN CRAFT BEER’S 4th OF JULY WEEKEND PICKS

So welcome to our 4th of July Weekend Picks!
Crying Eagle Brewing Spreads Its Wings This Weekend (Calcasieu Parish, LA) – Our friends at Crying Eagle Brewing, which will soon be one of Louisiana’s largest production breweries, are opening their doors for the first time this Saturday, July 2nd, for a special limited access tasting at their new brewery in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This is the first of several soft openings that they have planned, where visitors can come tour the new 10,000+ sq. foot brewery, sample their fine beers and enjoy a variety of artisan food offerings from visiting food trucks.
Drinking Beer & Cooking with Friends (Everywhere, USA) – We shouldn’t have to tell you that the 4th of July weekend is a perfect time for all-day drinking parties, impressing your friends with your new found culinary skills, and scaring you neighbors
On The Big Screen – This weekend’s holiday movie offerings include Stephen Spielberg’s newest fantasy flick, The BFG (which stands for big friendly giant, by the way), another reboot on The Legend of Tarzan which sounds pretty worthless, and the latest addition to the anarchistic horror franchise, The Purge: Election Year.
Fireworks / Fireworks / Fireworks (Everywhere, USA) – Okay, if we even have to explain why you might want to catch an Independence Day celebration, you’re either:
- Too old (or never had children)
- A heartless unpatriotic bastard
- In rehab or haven’t smoked pot in years
But if you can no longer find any joy in a good old fashioned fireworks display you’re officially NO LONGER FUN and you are hereby BANNED from ACB.

OUR 4TH OF jULY WEEKEND BEER PICK
With summer now upon us and it being the 4th of July weekend we’ll be tapping into a sessionable favorite of ours from Victory. Victory Helles Lager is 4.8% ABV pleaser that’s a nice take on a classic German style that more and more brewers have been returning to lately.
