THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER – QUICK HITS
We blame the industry for this… It used to be that when we wrapped up our Weekend Picks on Friday, we could coast through the weekend. But clearly all that’s changed. So here’s some of what’s happened in the world of craft beer while you were off enjoying yourself.

Another Brick In the Wall Dos (China) – And on the other side of the world it bears mentioning that China’s Ministry of Commerce recently approved AB InBev’s takeover of SABMiller thought to be the last barrier to the $103 billion deal’s completion.

Words To Drink By (Milton, DE) – “We’re heading into an incredibly competitive era of craft brewing…There’s a bloodbath coming.”
Sam Calagione – Dogfish Head
What Was Once Old Is New Again (Milwaukee, WI) – As part of recent explosion of new breweries throughout the region, Milwaukee Brewing plans to expand their imprint and production capability and open a new downtown destination brewery in what was once a Pabst distribution center. JS Online is reporting that plans for the new
development include the new brewery, a tasting room and a roof top bar with a hillside view of downtown Milwaukee.
Wanna Run Away To The Circus? (Petaluma, CA) – Then ENTER for a chance to win a trip for two to the Lagunitas Beer Circus, courtesy of Lagunitas Brewing. Winners will receive airfare, lodging, a VIP tour and dinner at the Lagunitas Taproom & Beer Sanctuary on Friday Night, and of course, tickets to the Petaluma Beer Circus on Saturday.
