“As Gose Victory – So Gose The Nation” (Downingtown, PA) – Victory has announced the long-awaited return of the wildly imaginative cherry fruit session ale, that was first introduced last year. Light, bright and enormously effervescent, Victory Kirsch Gose is a refreshingly modern 4.7% ABV cherry-driven twist on the German tradition.
More Russian Imperialism (Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing is returning an award-winning decadent favorite that answers to no one. Regarded by many as a stylistic classic, the 10.8% Stone Imperial Russian Stout resumes its reign for 2016 – deeper and darker than ever before – and just as impressive.
Sound Czech (Athens, GA) – Terrapin Beer is returning a popular Pilsner that was first released as part the brewery’s Georgia Theatre Series to help restore a musical landmark that was gutted by a fire in 2009. Brewed with 100% Pilsner malt, for exceptional crispness, Terrapin Sound Czech Pils is an exceptionally crisp German-style Lager that’s brewed for an encore performance
Cinco Somewhere (San Francisco, CA) – 21st Amendment has a sessionable new year-round that take its name from Brewmaster Shaun O’Sullivan’s alter ego. A nod to the endless summer spent on southern California beaches and the Mexican beers consumed there (sometimes late into the evenings), EL Sully is a 4.8% lager brewed with Pilsner and Vienna malts, flaked maize and Mexican yeast.
Ground Control Barrel-Aged (Eugene, OR) – Ninkasi is returning a legendary Imperial stout that was first brewed last year, with brewer’s yeast that’s seen space travel and this release has been aged in Old Forester Bourbon barrels. Brewed with Oregon hazelnuts, star anise and cocoa nibs – and fermented with an Ale yeast that survived a trip to space and back – Ninkasi Ground Control 2016 is deep, dark Barrel-aged 10% Imperial Stout that, it’s fair to say, is out of this world.
