Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For
So many craft beers, so little time. With so many craft breweries, releasing so many beers, we thought it might help to provide a weekly update on all the new beers that are hitting the streets …..So welcome to this week’s edition of Newbies – your guide to great new craft beer releases!

Green Death To Be Unleashed (San Francisco, CA) – In celebration of the upcoming SF Beer Week, the San Francisco Brewers Guild have announced the imminent release of their new collaboration beer – Green Death. It’s a modern interpretation of an historic West Coast ale once produced in San Francisco that beer fans have enjoyed in green bottles and cans since Prohibition ended. Green Death will be served for the first time at the SF Beer Week Opening Celebration on Friday, February 8th, at the Concourse Exhibition Center in San Francisco. After the event, Green Death will be available on draft only, from February 9-17 at Guild member locations and a limited number of bars throughout the Bay Area.

Marin Brewing Gets Brassy (Larkspur, CA) – Marin Brewing Company is going big and bad with the release of their brutal Brass Knuckle Imperial IPA. Compared to the classic White Knuckle Double IPA, Brass Knuckle is stronger and hoppier with 6 pounds of hops per barrel and 10.8% ABV. Marin Brewing Company is releasing the Brass Knuckle on Friday, February 1st, 2013 at the pub. This brew will be available on tap, in growlers and kegs and, for the first time, in 3 liter bottles.
More Good Karma At Terrapin (Athens, GA) – Terrapin Beer Company’s year-round IPA, Hopsecutioner IPA, is already one of their most-loved beers. This killer IPA boasts 7.3% ABV and, beginning in February, Terrapin’s Hopsecutioner will be available in a 12-pack carton in addition to the already-available 6-packs and kegs.
Long Trail Gets Smoked! (Bridgewater Cors, VT) – Long Trail Brewing Company has just announced the newest release in their tap-only Brown Bag Pilot Series – Batch #2 Bavarian Smoked Brown. Brewed featuring Cherrywood smoked pale malt, Bavarian Smoked Brown sports a sessionable 5.4% ABV and is available on draft now.
