THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEKEND PICKS
THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEKEND PICKS
Hey it’s Friday – Work’s been brutal and the weather not much better so it’s time to forget about things and have some fun. Well good, because we’ve got all kinds of ideas for you. From the nation’s coolest beer festivals, movies and music to cutting edge TV – we’ve got your back big-time. Plus we’ve a special weekend beer pick for you too, because we know you’ll be drinking!
So welcome to our awesome Weekend Picks…

On The Big Screen – Not a great weekend for new movies opening but if you’re in the mood here’s what’s happening…Walt Disney’s live action Cinderella debuts in case you care. It’s directed by Kenneth Branaugh and stars Cate Blanchett as the wicked stepmother – so there’s that. Then there’s Run All Night which stars Liam Neeson as a mobbed-up hit man who runs around all night, acting tough and beating up people. Or you can check out The Imitation Game – one of the best movies of 2014.
Craft Beer Festivals Go Global This Weekend (UK / Spain / Brazil) – ACB has a growing international audience (London is consistently one of our top 5 cities!). And the number of craft beer events taking place this week speaks volumes as to the how craft beer is fast becoming a global movement. The Barcelona Beer Festival is taking place this weekend (March 13th-15th) and it’s especially interesting to see that the Brewer’s Association is one
TV Time– Why waste your time with this weekend’s questionable movies when stay home drinking serious beer and binging out on the third season of Netflix’s dark political soap opera, House of Cards. This season joins Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) who having schemed (and murdered) his way successfully into the White House finds himself besieged on all fronts. A Putin-like Russian leader is hitting on his wife at state dinners and all his political allies secretly plotting against him. Plus his wife, Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) has started to develop a conscience – and that can’t help but complicate things.
Our Pre-St Patrick’s Day Weekend Beer Pick
St Patrick’s Day is this Tuesday and were getting things started early with one of our favorites from Flying Dog. Lucky SOB Irish Red Ale is a 5.5% ABV seasonal that they say is brewed with specially picked four-leaf clovers (not that we’re buying that).
