So many beers- So little time… Fall is giving way to winter and with that comes the beers of the season – and we’ve a number of interesting new releases that you’ll want to chase down…Plus we’ve some very cool offerings from Bayou Teche and New Belgium that are serious as well.

Enter Winter / Exit Spring (Brooklyn, NY) – The Brooklyn Brewery has just introduced its newest winter/spring seasonal and it’s available now through March. Brewed as protection from biting winds and soggy weather, Brooklyn Insulated is 5.6% dry-hopped Dark Lager with black barley fueled notes of roasted coffee and a dry warming finish.

Grapeful Head (Boston, MA) – Boston Beer has a new addition to their Rebel IPA Series coming out this month that is planned as a year-round. Samuel Adams Rebel Grapefruit IPA is a 6.3% Pale Ale brewed with Mosaic hops and real grapefruit.

Calling For Some Accumulation (Ft Collins, CO) – Just as sure as winter’s snow, New Belgium is returning their popular cold-weather seasonal. A clear alternative to the more obvious dark winter ales, New Belgium Accumulation White IPA is a 6.2% India Pale Ale that’s brewed for warm fires and staying out of the snow.

Winter’s Coming (Crozet, VA) – Starr Hill has a new cold-weather seasonal rolling out that’s part of their All Access Series. Starr Hill’s Shakedown Imperial Chocolate Cherry Stout is a full-bodied 9% ABV Imperial Stout brewed using real cherry puree and bittersweet dark chocolate.  

Teche Down! (Amaudville, LA) – Bayou Teche is now bottling a beer that was brewed in partnership with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and introduced at the school’s first home football game back in September. Inspired by Louisiana’s homegrown rice, Ragin’ Cajuns™ Genuine Louisiana Ale is a crisp and clean lager, brewed with football and tailgating in mind.
