Cooking With Beer: Sierra Nevada IPA Lemon Vinaigrette

(Courtesy Sieera Nevada Brewing)

Festive foods take on new meaning when made with serious beer. And since we’ve been criticized for leaning to heavily on meaty dishes like pulled pork sliders this summer, we’ve an IPA-infused mixed green salad dressing suggestion for you that’s just as delicious.

This tasty recipe comes our way from one of our favorites, Sierra Nevada Brewing. And it’s made using a Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing IPA, a 6.7% ABV fruit-forward India Pale Ale with a juicy ambience, a modest bitterness and an uber-smooth mouthfeel.

And when you’re done pulling things together you can kick back and nail this terrific juice-bomb, while your friends compliment you on your mad cooking skills and for eating healthier.

So let’s do this!

Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing Lemon Vinaigrette

Ingredients:

  • ½ shallot
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tbsp Hazy Little Thing
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp whole grain mustard
  • 1 pinch salt
  • ½ cup canola oil

Directions:

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except canola oil, and whisk to combine.

Step 3

While whisking, slowly drizzle in canola oil until it is incorporated.

Step 4

Store in an airtight container for up to 7 days and shake before using.
