Bud Light’s Hilarious “Armchair Quarterback” Beer Ad

We’re big fans of beer ads that make us laugh here at American Craft Beer and Bud Light’s latest, which parodies the return of Netflix hit docuseries “Quarterback” along with Peyton Manning, is a classic.

Here’s the deal…

On July 10th, Anheuser-Busch announced that Bud Light, already “the official beer sponsor of the NFL,” had joined  Netflix as a partner for the second season ‘’Quarterback’’ series. Over its  first Netflix’s Quarterback, which focused on Patrik Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs,  fast-became must-watch TV, delving deep into the high-stakes world of NFL quarterbacks.

Season 2 centers on Joe Burrow (Bengals), Jared Goff (Lions), and returning favorite Kirk Cousins, tracing their journeys through a gripping NFL campaign.

And Bud Light is helping promote it’s return with one of the funniest beer ads of the year.

“Armchair Quarterback”, features longtime friend of the brand and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Peyton Manning, who’s great in these things, and a fan on a quest for greatness. The short-form sketch video,  puts a humorous spin on football fandom as it spoofs storylines seen in the new series.

Executive produced by Peyton Manning in partnership with Netflix and Omaha Productions “Armchair Quarterback” celebrates the sometimes crazy commitment NFL fans show every season as they pull up an armchair and grab a cold one, hopefully a Bud Light.

“Armchair Quarterback” marks Bud Light’s fifth campaign with longtime friend of the brand, Peyton Manning, and Omaha Productions. Peyton plays a central role in guiding our “Armchair Quarterback” as someone who knows exactly what it takes to be an elite quarterback – and an elite fan. Peyton previously starred in Bud Light’s Super Bowl LIX and 24-25 NFL season campaigns.
