Impacted by Hurricane Helene, Ashville, NC-based Hi-Wire Brewing is shedding a property in Cincinnati it can no longer afford…We’ve that, “Words to Drink By” and more…
Hi-Wire Sells Cincinnati Taproom to Braxton Brewing
In what was described in the press release as a ”positive move for both parties”, Braxton Brewing will acquire Hi-Wire Brewing’s Cincinnati taproom and reopen as Braxton Factory 52. Braxton Brewing Company will also take over the greenspace and full-service bar in front of the brewery, which they will call The Porch by Braxton Brewing Co.
As part of the transition, current Hi-Wire employees from the Factory 52 location will be retained by Braxton Brewing, and several Hi-Wire beers will remain on tap after Braxton Brewing reopens the space.
‘After Hurricane Helene destroyed our headquarters, flagship taproom, and distribution warehouse in Asheville, we had to think about how to ensure the health of the business, and that meant making some hard choices,” said Adam Charnack, co-founder and CEO of Hi-Wire Brewing. This transition is not transactional; it’s really the start of a new friendship.”
The breweries already have plans to collaborate on a special commemorative, co-branded beer to celebrate this new chapter for both businesses. The beer will be announced and rolled out in select Braxton Brewing and Hi-Wire taprooms later this summer.

Cayman Airways Debuts Sky Brew
Cayman Airways is celebrating its Cayman Islands spirit with a new sky-high beer that was crafted for them by Caybrew and available on all flights to and from the islands.
Blending Caymanian craftsmanship, and innovation into every sip, Sir Turtle’s Sky Brew marks a milestone for the national airline and Cayman’s premium local brewery. In recent months, leadership teams from both companies participated in tasting sessions on the ground and in the air, to establish the best blend for the best taste at 30,000 feet – the dry air and lower pressure on airplanes impacts the sense of taste while inflight.
The result – an expertly brewed custom 5% ABV craft beer that reimagines the bold flavors you expect from a classic India Pale Ale, carefully adjusted to shine at cruising altitude.
We are proud to partner with Caybrew on this exciting initiative that not only enhances the in-flight experience, but also further showcases the uniquely Caymanian travel experience that only Cayman Airways offers,” Cayman Airways’ Executive Vice President for Commercial Affairs and Chief Financial Officer, Paul Tibbetts, said. “Sky Brew represents another authentic celebration of local talent and craftsmanship, offering our passengers a unique taste of Cayman before they even land.”
As a proud Caymanian brewery, we are delighted to collaborate with Cayman Airways to craft Sky Brew – an exclusive brew that captures the essence of our islands in every sip,” said Mark Haring, Caybrew Brand Manager. “This partnership is a tribute to Cayman’s rich tradition of craftsmanship, warm hospitality, and entrepreneurial spirit, bringing a true taste of home to the skies.”
Sky Brew officially took flight on May 22, 2025. For a limited time, all adult passengers (aged 18+) will have the opportunity to try one complimentary Sky Brew aboard any international jet flight.
