Dry January is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with a terrific roster of non-alcoholic beer wonders that are crafty and convincing.
Always A Good Time (Elmsford, NY) – Mikey McFerran, founder of Good Time Brewing is a seasoned bar industry veteran who is redefining non-alcoholic beer to. The idea for Good Time began in early 2020, following his son’s diagnosis with a congenital heart defect. Knowing alcohol wouldn’t have much of a place in his son’s life, McFerron began crafting NA alternatives, like this brilliant IPA.
Built on a smart menu of specially curated barley, wheat and oat malts, a well-rounded backbone that allows the hops to shine, Good Time IPA is a buzz-free “East meets West” Indian Pale Ale that, we promise you, will not disappoint.
100% Guinness, Just Without The Alcohol (Dublin) – Boasting the same smooth taste, balanced flavor and creamy mouthfeel Guinness 0 Non Alcoholic Draught is one of the best non-alcoholic beers that we’ve ever had.

To create Guinness 0 the St James’s Gate brewers, start by brewing Guinness exactly as they always have, using the same natural ingredients; water, barley, hops, and yeast; before gently removing the alcohol through a cold filtration method. The cold filtration process allows the alcohol to be filtered out without presenting thermal stress to the beer, protecting the integrity of its taste and character.
The brewers then carefully blend and balance the flavors to ensure its distinctive dark ruby color and creamy rich head. Like we’ve said it’s 100% Guinness, just without the alcohol.
Darkness, Darkness(Anaheim, CA) -Since its inception in 2015, Bravus Brewing, North America’s first non-alcoholic craft brewery has never stopped innovating. Founded by software engineer-turned-brewer Philip Brandes, Bravus was born when Brandes sought to solve a craft beer-loving friend’s dilemma of how to maintain his new sobriety without having to give up his favorite beverage. And they brew a beer that was inspired by Guinness that won’t muddy your head.
Extremely smooth and uber-refreshing, Bravus Oatmeal Dark is buzz-free pleaser with subtle hints of chocolate, caramel and roasted coffee. If you’re a fan of Guinness but looking to steer clear of alcohol over the holidays, this is the brew for you!
