These are no longer normal times…So why drink something, normal especially during the winter holidays.
Deck The Halls with Boughs of Barley (Cape May, NJ) – Brightly lit trees and enjoying the holidays with something smart and seasonal, that’s what Cape May Brewing’s two Boughs of Barley variations are all about…And this year’s festive barrel-aged variations (they ‘re different every year) are two reasons to celebrate.
Cape May Boughs of Barley 2020: Orange Liqueur is a rich and silky 12.6% ABV Barrel-Aged Belgian-Style Quadrupel Ale with strong notes of orange peel and toasted marshmallows.
Cape May Boughs of Barley 2020: Portuguese Sherry is a rich and robust 12.6% ABV Barrel-Aged Belgian-Style Quadrupel Ale with bold chocolate and cherries notes.

Hoppy Together (Baltimore, MD) – DuClaw Brewing has announced a new hop-forward sour, the first in the brewery’s Hopped Sour Series, a line of limited releases exploring a variety of hops and fruit additions.
Scheduled to hit retail shelves in January, DuClaw Hoppy Together is a subtly sweet 7.1% ABV Sour Ale which is crafted Mosaic, Azacca, and Simcoe hops plus lactose.
“It’s the perfect amount of hop and tart to be easy drinking with a smooth, crisp finish,” said DuClaw Director of Brewery Operations Chris Wood. “We think this is the next style to fly. We are seeing wild success with ours, even moving our strawberry hopped sour into our core lineup, so we’re leaning into the style.
Winter Ready (New Ulm, MN) – Every November Schell’s Beer welcomes winter with a special limited release, which like snowstorms in the Midwest are never alike. And this season’s version takes a turn to the dark side. Brimming with rich coffee and chocolate notes, and uniquely brewed with triticale and oats, Schell’s Snowstorm is a 6.3% ABV full-bodied Oat Stout with a roasted malt quality and ale fruitiness.
