BrewDog Pittsburgh Is Ready To Rock

BrewDog Pittsburgh
Few craft breweries think as big as BrewDog and no craft brewing organization in the world has their current scale and reach. And now they’ve just opened their 101st craft beer bar, this time in a great American beer city…Pittsburgh, PA.
To understand the intrinsic importance of BrewDog’s UK and international bar network one only has to look to the traditional pub and brewery distribution system in the United Kingdom, where large pub chains serve as outlets for company-sanctioned beer that is served chainwide.
Breweries such Fuller’s in the United Kingdom have opted to cut out the middleman and build their own network of pubs that cater almost exclusively to their brand…And over the years BrewDog has been building a national and international network of bars with a similar model.
And last week the Scotland-headquartered and now global brewing enterprise opened a new outpost in Pittsburgh…its first American brewpub.
n 2017, BrewDog built a 100,000-square-foot US brewery, just outside of Columbus, complete with a taproom, sour facility, museum and hotel. The high-tech, environmentally friendly facility, located in Canal Winchester, Ohio, currently produces 110,000 barrels annually and has become a major craft beer tourism draw in the US.
BrewDog also has two DogTap bars in the Columbus area, but its new hub in Pittsburgh is its first actual brewpub in the states.
Located in the Steel City’s vibrant East Liberty District, BrewDog Pittsburgh is currently helmed by Brewmaster Paul Young who has already begun exploring new in-house small-batch beer directions on the outpost’s 5BBL pilot brewhouse.
In addition to offering 24 taps of uber-fresh craft beer cold-chained in from the company’s Columbus brewery, BrewDog Pittsburgh also features two outdoor patio spaces to catch the Pennsylvania sun whenever it makes an appearance and a full beer food menu.
Founded by James Watt and Martin Dickie in 2010 and funded by its groundbreaking crowdfunding initiative Equity for Punks, BrewDog currently operates breweries in Ellon Scotland, Columbus Ohio, Berlin, Germany and Brisbane, Australia…and exports its award-winning beers to over 60 countries.
BrewDog Pittsburgh is now up-and-running and open 11am-12am Monday to Thursday, 11am-1am Friday and Saturday and 11am-11pm on Sundays…so you know what to do
