New Winter Seasonals, Imperial Bocks And Hazy IPA’s

The winter holiday season is ON. And American craft brewers are addressing things with a variety of new offerings that pair smartly with the season.

Maniacal (Alexandria, VA) – Port City Brewing has announced the return of a Specialty Series favorite, after a two-year hiatus and for the first time in a 16oz can. Abundantly hopped with Azacca, Citra, Jarrylo and Mosaic, Port City Maniacal Double IPA is an 8.5% ABV India Pale Ale that deftly balances hop bite, pine and citrus aromatics, and malt structure.

Bock Off (Juneau, Alaska) – Alaskan Brewing has a new Pilot Series release that was brewed with oak chips and draws inspiration from an often forgotten old-world beer style. Rich, robust, and unapologetically full-bodied, Alaskan Imperial Bock is a 12.5% ABV amped-up twist on German Doppelbock, a style that was first brewed by fourteenth century Bavarian monks during cold winter months.

New “Beer Meets Wine” Special Release (Hood River, OR) – pFriem has a new fall/winter limited release that they did with their friends at Trisaetum Winery in Oregon. The brewery’s newest foray into the world of wine meets beer, pFriem Druif Rouge is a 7.3% ABV Lambic-Style Ale that was crafted and aged with fresh grapes from Willamette Valley.

Want S’More? (Weymouth, MA) – Barrel House Z a brewery, taproom, and kitchen built around creatively conceived, small-batch offerings just released “a S’more you can drink.” Inspired by the beloved campfire treat, Barrel House Z Campfire King is an 8.1% ABV deep, dark and rich Imperial Porter with a creamy mouthfeel that’s laced with chocolate and graham cracker tones.

Flex Appeal (Atlanta, GA / Virginia Beach VA) – New Realm Brewing has a monstrous new limited release that’s available now on draft and in 16oz cans. Crafted with a sturdy menu of New Zealand hops and Norwegian Kviek yeast, New Realm Tyrannosaurus Flex is an 8.5% ABV Hazy Double India Pale Ale with fruity notes of mango, pineapple, peach, apricot and citrus.
