New Beers: Fall Seasonals, Imperial Milk Stouts And Fresh IPA’s

With Thanksgiving nearing American craft brewers are addressing the season with a variety of new offerings s that should pair smartly with just about everything over the holiday.

The Temptress Gets Salty (Dallas, TX) – Lakewood Brewing has a new addition to its wildly popular Seduction Series, an uber-popular line of Temptress Imperial Milk Stout variations. Lakewood Salted Caramel Temptress is a 12.1% ABV Imperial Milk Stout aged for a year and a half in a bourbon barrels, then conditioned with caramel and sea salt.

Winter Timed (Boston, MA) – Every fall Samuel Adams releases its annual Winter Variety Pack, a collection of cold weather classics and seasonal staples that varies annually. And 2019’s Variety 12-Pack includes an intoxicatingly rich bock that’s worth chasing down. Aggressively aged on cocoa nibs sourced from Madagascar, Ghana and Ecuador, Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock is a 5.8% ABV winter seasonal with a smooth complex flavor and just the right touch of sweetness.

Treading Lightly (San Diego, CA) – Thorn Brewing Co. is excited to announce the official can release of their newest and lowest carb beer EVER. Crafted using amyl glucosidase enzymes (!) which can be used to create a low-carb beer with a still decent buzz, Thorn Treading Lightly is a 4.5% ABV Low Carb India Pale Ale with just 104 calories for a 12oz can.

Making Bale (Yakima, WA) – Bale Breaker Brewing, a family-owned brewery located in the Yakima Valley, has released its first IPA from its Sown and Grown Series, a limited three-part IPA series that features the family’s barley crop and honors its four-generation legacy of hop farming. Crafted using 100% Oregon sourced ingredients, Bale Breaker Sown and Grown IPA is a 6.5% ABV India Pale Ale that’s hop-forward, yet incrediably smooth.

Riesling Grape Beer (Hood River, OR) – pFriem has a new limited release that they did with the Brooks Winery in Amity, Oregon. The brewery’s second foray into the world of “wine meets beer this season,”  pFriem Durif Blanc is a 7.3% ABV Lambic-Style Ale that was aged with sweet and tart, fresh Riesling grapes from the Willamette Valley wine.
