Scotland’s BrewDog is bringing Independence Day across the Atlantic, and pitting two independent brewing players against one another in a US vs UK showdown of epic proportions!

Here’s the deal…

On Thursday, July 4^th BrewDog’s UK bars (and BrewDog Le Marais in Paris) will be staging a transatlantic competition between two craft beer heavyweights, one from the US, the other from the United Kingdom, and inviting their fans to pick the winners.

Representing the UK is the incomparable Cloudwater, who have risen from their humble Manchester beginnings to become global players in only four years. With their ethical brewing philosophy and ever-changing line-up they brew bold craft beer that has led them to become a household name.

Cloudwater is at the cutting edge of brewing in England. And BrewDog journeyed to its adopted home state of Ohio to find a worthy player willing to take the formidable Manchester brewers on.

Representing the US, is Athens, Ohio’s Jackie O’s and BrewDog has air-freighted 14 of its beers that have never been seen in the UK just to keep things as fresh as possible for this 4^th of July throwdown.

With its farm, brewery, bakery and commitment to sustainability Jackie O’s is every bit the player that Cloudwater is and it will be up to the beer-lovers who visit any UK BrewDog bar on July the 4^th to pick the ultimate winner.

So while the US celebrates its independence from the British Empire this July 4^th BrewDog will be relaunching its own US vs UK battle, this time a heroic battle of SERIOUS breweries and beers.
