Comes November (Alexandria, VA) – Northern Virginia’s uber-progressive craft beer emporium, Rustico, is throwing its 6th annual Novemberfest this Saturday, November 5^th – and if you’re in the mid-Atlantic, this thing’s terrific and you need to be there. Once again NRG’s Beer Director Greg Engert has invited a mind-blowing roster of nearly 30 of the finest Virginia producers (cult breweries like Pen Druid, The Veil, The Answer, Triple Crossing, and Aslin) and they’ll bringing their very best so you don’t want to miss this.

On The Big Screen – Another weekend another Marvel superhero flick but this one is getting killer reviews (95% positive on Rotten Tomatoes). Described by critics as “exciting, funny, and above all fun,” Thor: Ragnarok is a colorful cosmic adventure that sets a high bar for its franchise – as well as for the rest of Marvel’s cinematic universe.

TV Time & Streaming – If you’re still experiencing Halloween withdrawal then Netflix’s Black Mirror, a trippy British technology meets Twilight Zone anthology series, is guaranteed to help you with that. This mind-blowing collection of vaguely futuristic tales runs the gamut from dark social satire to the truly horrifying. Each episode features a different cast, a different setting, and possibly a different reality, so be sure to fasten your seat belts before watching.

Art and Beer: Together at Last! (Portland, OR) – If you’re in the PNW tomorrow, you won’t want to miss this pairing made in craft beer and cider heaven. Art & Beer: Pitchering Oregon features 18 quenching delights paired with 18 works of art from every region of Oregon. THE ACB WEEKEND BEER PICK

The East Coast is looking to be beautiful this weekend and we’ll be celebrating it with a new limited release from Upslope Brewing.  A near-perfect marriage of blood oranges and Mandarina Bavaria hops, Upslope Blood Orange Saison is 6% ABV fruit-forward Belgian Style Ale with a spicy pink peppercorn finish.
