Music / Music / Music (Chicago, IL) – There’s only one music festival taking place anywhere this weekend that truly matters and that’s Lollapalooza 2019. What was started as a touring music festival created by Jane’s Addiction’s Perry Farrell in 1991 has become one of the summer’s most defining music events. Now in its 27th year, this four-day festival (August 1-4) returns to Chicago’s historic Grant Park, and will feature some of music’s biggest names including artists like Ariana Grande, Tame Impala, Gary Clark Jr and ACB favs The Stokes.
On The Big Screen – Quentin Tarantino’s ninth feature film combines the Hollywood circa 1969 with Charlie Manson and the Sharon Tate murders. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a fading TV star and Brad Pitt as his longtime stunt double buddy, as they struggle to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. And, oh yeah, Sharon Tate lives next door.
Short’s Fest 2019 (Elk Rapids, MI) – It wouldn’t be summer without out one of our favorite parties of the season! This Saturday, August 3rd Short’s Brewing will be presenting its 10th annual Short’s Fest 2019, an epic evening of Short’s beer, Starcut Ciders, live music, artisan foods, production facility tours, and all of your best beer friends dancing into the night. Doors will be open from 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm (limited Pre Party ticket entry at 4:00 pm).
THE ACB WEEKEND BEER PICK
We’ll be celebrating August’s first weekend with an award-winning beer that we picked up on a recent junket to New Zealand. MOA Perris Sky Juice is 7.2% ABV “New Zealand meets California” India Pale Ale fueled on Columbus, Citra, Simcoe and Amarillo hops.
