Halloween-Ready (Lone Tree, Co) – On October 28 Lone Tree Brewing is returning an award-winning seasonal that made a phantom appearance around Halloween since 2012.
A silver medal winner at the 2017 Great American Beer Festival, and the brewery’s most anticipated beer release of the year, Lone Tree Hop Zombie is a devilish 9% ABV Red IPA that according to the brewery is even bigger and bolder this year.
Freshen Up (Chico, CA / Mills River, NC) -One of the nation’s most accomplished craft brewers Sierra Nevada Brewing has a winter offering that New Belgium founder Kim Jordon claims is her go-to holiday beer, and we couldn’t agree with her more. First brewed in 1981, Sierra Nevada Celebration Fresh Hop Ale is a 6.8% ABV India Pale Ale, one of a very few, holiday beers that’s actually an IPA. And because it’s a fresh-hop India Pale Ale it’s subtly different every year, which is always fun.
Get Primordial (Lynn, MA) – Bent Water Brewing has as new limited release that we can’t wait to get our hands on. Brewed with the mysterious “Phantasm Powder,” Bent Water Primordial Haze is an 8.3% ABV Triple Hazy IPA with bright melon, passionfruit, and tropical fruit notes.
“Phantasm Powder is an extraction made from Marlborough New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc grape skins,” said Aaron Reames, co-founder and president of Bent Water Brewing. “When added correctly to the fermentation process, it can really help unlock strong tropical fruit aromas. Primordial Haze might have the biggest nose of any beer I’ve ever tasted.”
