Spring is ON and summer not all that far away.  And we’ve some interesting new beer releases that should pair smartly with your weekend.

Stratascopic! (Eugene, OR) –  Ninkasi Brewing has a new seasonal that was developed in the brewery’s 5-barrel Pilot system and is now seeing wider distribution.

Primed and timed to mirror the spring to summer season, Ninkasi Sratascope IPA is a 6.4% ABV India Pale Ale that celebrates the Strata hop’s character and the dank apricot, peach, passionfruit and grapefruit tones that it brings to a beer.

“Our pilot brewing system has allowed us to innovate in new ways,” said Director of Brewing Operations Dr. Daniel Sharp. “It’s fun to experiment with these new hops to create some delicious new beers with the complex aroma and flavor profiles they emit.”

Two Flamingos Walked Into A Bar (Comstock, MI) – Bell’s Brewery is returning a tart fruit ale that was first released under the name “Larry’s Latest,” a nod to the spirit of innovation and experimentation that Larry Bell started in 1985 and continues within the brewery to this day. Crafted with passionfruit and lime zest, Bell’s Flamingo Fruit Fight is a 5% ABV seasonal with a tart blend of citrus flavors and tropical aromatics.

Portland Primed (Newport, OR) –  Rogue Ales & Spirits has a tart new summertime release that takes its inspiration from the culinary wonderland that is Portland. Rogue Raspberry Tartlandia is a tart and sassy 4.9% ABV Gose with a raspberry juiciness that it deftly tempered by coastal sea salt.

Yore Lore (Brooklyn, NY) – Threes Brewing is returning one of its most acclaimed beers that set the stage for the brewery’s lager program. Brewed with a specialty Czech malt that adds additional complexity and deeper grain notes, Threes Yore Czech Pilsner is a 3.9% ABV crisp and dry Czech-style lager.

, Weekend Beer: New Czech Pilsners And Tart Fruit AlesLike most pilsners, Yore is the result of a few simple ingredients: Pilsner malt, Saaz hops, lager yeast and soft water. This batch of Yore is brewed with 100% Moravian Floor Malted Czech Pilsner, a dynamic and complex malt from a small Czech maltster.
