The drinking experience is only as good as the place you’re drinking. An average beer can drink brilliantly with the sun going down over the Grand Canyon. The same goes for bars.

And now an annual ranking by William Reed Business Media, a UK-based company that’s been publishing these listings since 2008, has released its Top 50 bar picks for 2021.

Over the ranking’s 13 year run, only three bars — Milk and Honey, Artesian and now, Connaught Bar, have topped the world’s “best bar” list more than once. All of those bars are in London as is William Reed Business Media, so we have to wonder how much proximity is a factor in this annual ranking.

This year’s ranking includes bars from 17 countries, with 18 new entries in 2021… Asia and Europe tied for the most bars named to the list — 16 each.

And of the 50 bars in the 2021 ranking only four US Bars made the list. Katana Kitten in New York was ranked the #10 best bar in the world followed by Cafe La Trova in Florida which came in at #28 as well as two other bars in NYC Dante (#30) and Attaboy (#34).
