The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – September 25, 2015
Hey the work week is over… And it’s time to start thinking fun. Well good, because we’re all about it and we’ve got all kinds of ideas for you. From the nation’s coolest beer festivals, movies and music to cutting edge TV – we’ve got your back big-time. Plus we’ve a special weekend beer pick for you too, because we know you’ll be drinking!
So welcome to our awesome Weekend Picks…

On The Big Screen – Since many of you will be drinking your way through the weekend, out in Denver at the 2015 GABF – we’re not pissed that this week’s new movies are weak at best. The Intern stars Robert De Niro as 70-year-old widower (who needs that?) who becomes a senior intern at an online fashion site. Or there’s The Green Inferno, a young students meet blood-thirsty cannibal horror flick, directed by cult-favorite, Eli Roth. You choose…

TV Time – Can a television drama be sick and damaged yet utterly compelling at the same time? We think Showtime’s Ray Donovan is both. Set in the sprawling mecca of the rich and famous, Ray Donovan is a “fixer” who does the dirty work for LA’s top power players. The one-hour series stars Liev Schreiber as the go-to guy who makes the problems of the city’s celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls disappear. This series (now in its third season) is the ultimate guilty pleasure- which is probably why we can’t stop watching it.
Beer, Vegan Food, Music and More! (Portland, OR) – We’re kind of shocked that this Saturday’s Vegan Beer and Food Festival is a first time thing in the Rose City. What’s really amazing though is the ridiculous amount of beer, cider and kombucha available (100+ options), not to mention food from the top vegan carts, trucks and restaurants
OUR WEEKEND OKTOBERFEST BEER PICK
With Oktoberfest season now upon us, we’re in full-on celebration mode here at the ACB compound – and Flying Dog just sent us something that suits this time of year perfectly. Brewed with 100% imported German ingredients Flying Dog’s Dogtoberfest is a rich 5.6% Märzen that’s not too sweet and is an ideal season-changer.
