THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEKEND PICKS

Hey it’s Friday… the weather’s finally warming and you’re ready for some fun. Well good, because we’re all about it and we’ve got all kinds of ideas for you. From the nation’s coolest beer festivals to movies, music and cutting edge TV – we’ve got your back big-time.  Plus we’ve a weekend beer pick for you too, because we know you’ll be drinking!

So welcome to our awesome Weekend Picks…

, THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEKEND PICKSBayside Beer Drinking (San Francisco, CA) – The 5th annual Bay Area Brew Fest returns to The Embarcadero this weekend and we can’t think of a better place to be. This one-day, (Mar 12th) two-session beerganza will be bringing together the region’s most exciting breweries, along with hundreds of beers, food trucks, music and of course, a photo booth (Yes!).  Admission includes unlimited beer samplings, with VIP attendees getting an extra hour of admission and some specialty beers poured during the first hour. For a complete listing of everyone coming check out: 2016 Bay Area Beer Fest

On The Big Screen – A sequel of sorts to 2008’s monster epic, Cloverfield, opens this weekend and if it’s as good as that JJ Abram’s produced masterpiece, you’re in for a good time. 10 Cloverfield Lane stars John Goodman as the weird guy in the fallout shelter, who holds a young female accident victim hostage in his lair, claiming that the outside world is affected by a widespread chemical attack

, THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEKEND PICKSCelebrate Cask Ale In Nebraska (Lincoln, NE) – Billed as the “cask event of the year” the 2016 Nebraska Cask Ale Festival returns to the Ploughshare Brewing compound this weekend. This two-evening throwdown (March 11th-12th) invites you to enjoy a multitude of cask ales and lagers, served straight from the spigot – and the proceeds will benefit the Nebraska Craft Brewers Guild.

TV Time– Why waste your time with this weekend’s questionable movies when you can stay home drinking serious beer and binging out on the fourth season of Netflix’s dark political soap opera, House of Cards? This season joins Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) who having schemed (and murdered) his way successfully into the White House finds himself besieged on all fronts. Separated from his wife and political partner, Claire Underwood (Robin Wright), President Underwood wages his campaign for re-election alone and weakened – but still dangerous.

Music / Music / Music (Tampa, FL) – The Gasparilla Music Festival return to Downtown Tampa this weekend, for two days (March 12th-13th) of music on several of the city’s park stages. Headliners include Erykah Badu, MS MR and Stephen Marley so you don’t want to miss this. And you can check out the 2016 Artist Lineup for onstage times.

, THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEKEND PICKSTV Time– Why waste your time with this weekend’s questionable movies when stay home drinking serious beer and binging out on the third season of Netflix’s dark political soap opera, House of Cards. This season joins Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) who having schemed (and murdered) his way successfully into the White House finds himself besieged on all fronts. A Putin-like Russian leader is hitting on his wife at state dinners and all his political allies secretly plotting against him. Plus his wife, Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) has started to develop a conscience – and that can’t help but complicate things.

Our Pre-St Patrick’s Day Weekend Beer Pick

St Patrick’s Day is this Thursday and we’re getting things started early with one of our favorites from Flying Dog. Lucky SOB Irish Red Ale is a 5.5% ABV seasonal that they say is brewed with specially picked four-leaf clovers (not that we’re really buying that).
