On The Big Screen – Clearly Hollywood is thinking that most moviegoers will be mostly checking out the many Academy Award nominated flicks still in theaters – because the new offerings opening this weekend look questionable at best. The fact that an actor the caliber of 
North to Alaska (Anchorage, Alaska) – Frigid climates were made for drinking Barleywine. So our northwestern friends might want to check out the Great Alaska Beer & Barleywine Festival taking place this weekend at the William A. Egan Civic & Convention Center. This two-day (Jan 22nd -23rd) three session beerganza will feature over 300 Barleywines, Winter Warmers and cold-weather seasonals from the Far North’s most accomplished brewers. There will also be a judged competition, live music and more food than you could ever consume! General Session Tickets are $45 per person. Admission price includes 6 oz. Commemorative glass, 30 samples, ID band, and official program for those of you who can read.
TV Time – Netflix continues to deliver interesting and controversial offerings and their new ten-part documentary is definitely stirring things up. Making a Murderer explores the story of Steven Avery, a Manitowoc County, Wisconsin man who served 18 years in prison for sexual assault and attempted murder, before he was exonerated and released in 2003. It then goes on to chronicle his re-arrest and conviction for the
