From the nation’s coolest beer festivals to movies, music and cutting edge TV – we’ve got your back big-time. Plus we’ve a weekend beer pick for you too, because we know you’ll be drinking!

Holiday Cheer Beer (Vancouver, WA) – Craft beer festivals have a tendency to slow down at this time of year -the winter holidays are coming up – everybody’s shopping or throwing their own parties. Still there are some cool craft beer festivals taking place this weekend and the Vancouver Winter Brewfest is one of them.Kick off the holidays with a little Christmas beer cheer provided by 35 of the region’s most brilliant breweries. And don’t worry about the weather because this three-day festival is being held under heated tents. On The Big Screen – After weeks of big holiday blockbuster openings, this weekend’s movie offerings seem more reasonable in scale – but no less interesting. Ron Howard’s latest In the Heart of the Sea is based on an actual 1820 event, where a whaling ship is attacked by an enormous sperm whale, stranding its crew at sea for 90 days, thousands of miles from home. But if that sounds too fishy for you there’s also Legend, a 1960’s crime epic that tells the story of the identical twin gangsters Reggie and Ronnie Kray, (both played by Tom Hardy) – two of the most notorious criminals in British history.

Be Sure To Czech This Out! (St. Louis, MO) – The Great St. Louis Czech Beer Festival will be taking place this Saturday, December 12^th and you might want to Czech in on it. It’s all taking place at the American Czech Educational Center in South St. Louis where Missouri and Illinois Breweries will be coming together to celebrate the Czechs’ favorite drink… beer. Unique Czech inspired bar food will be in abundance and Pilsner-fueled live music will be available to get your heart pumping.

TV Time – Netflix has a new binge-worthy Marvel Series that debuted recently – and we can’t recommend it highly enough. Sexy hip and thoroughly entertaining, more a homage to New York Detective Noir than it is just another comic-book hero spin-off – Jessica Jones is something completely different. Krysten Ritter stars as the hard-living semi-alcoholic former superhero, barely getting by as a private eye. David Tennant is terrifying as Kilgrave, a mysterious man from
Jones’s past, who can control minds.
