The American Craft Beer Rumor Mill – October 8, 2014
Hey it’s Wednesday and that means it’s Rumor Mill Time….Fashion and serious craft beer mix it up creatively in Philly. We’ll get into that and on to other things that are breaking right now in the world of craft beer. Plus we’ve an all-important update on what we’ve been drinking lately.
We don’t sleep so you can….THIS WEEK’S RUMOR MILL IS ON!

A Different Kind of Craft Collaboration (Philadelphia, PA) – About a year ago, founder Sean Olubodun of Duke & Winston, a Philadelphia-based “casual clothing line for guys,” approached owner Bill Covaleskiof Victory Brewingat a speaking event. After talking, they realized that they had similar stories and that both had quit corporate jobs to pursue their dreams. They both believed strongly in staying personal with their customers, maintaining their Philly roots, and not “selling out.” Because of their shared passions, they decided to do a “craft beer meets fashion” collaboration together and their awesome collaboration tee just came out about a week ago.

What We’ve Been Drinking Lately (Washington, DC) – We’d like to thank all of the American craft breweries who have shared their wares with us in the past and those of you who have shipped us beer from time to time. It’s great to be able to sample the brews that we write about and it helps us have a better feel for what’s happening out there. Last night was the coldest night so far this fall and a perfect time to enjoy Heavy Seas Beer’s 2014 cold-weather seasonal. Heavy Seas Winter Storm is a 7.5% ABV Imperial ESB that pours deep ruby and drinks rich – perfect for the season’s falling temperatures.
