Hey it’s Wednesday and that means it’s Rumor Mill Time….Three Floyds has just announced some very big plans and could be jumping on the whiskey train. We’ll be bringing you everything we know so far. Plus we’ve some updates from West Sixth and Left Hand Brewing and some great news from Widmer Brothers. But that’s not all… we’ve also got a special Rumor Mill release you’ll want to chase down!
So fasten your seat belts everybody because….THIS WEEK’S RUMOR MILL IS ON!

West Sixth Not Loafing (Lexington, KY) – West Sixth Brewing will be expanding into an additional 13,000 square feet of the Bread Box – a multitenant development that is a historic bread factory in downtown Lexington.”This expansion includes the addition of a new 40-barrel brewhouse and six 80-barrel fermenters,” said founder Joe Kuosman. “This will allow us to produce approximately three times the amount of beer that we could before.” In addition to the new brewing equipment, West Sixth has also expanded with a new 1,200-square-foot cooler and centrifuge.
Some Left-Handed Moves (Longmont, CO) – Left Hand Brewing Company just announced plans to expand distribution into Maryland and Washington, DC. This March, they will officially enter the MD/DC market in partnership with Legends Limited Distributing. The two new territories will increase the Left Hand footprint to 27 states and we’re totally psyched for them.

Miami Vice Thrice (Miami, FL) – The Wynwood Brewing Co., the first production craft brewery in the city of Miami, has announced its plans to expand in early 2014. The expansion will single-handedly triple the brewery’s production capabilities. Upon completion, the brewery will be capable of producing close to 7,000 gallons of beer at a time and we’ve got to think that’s a good thing.

Breakside Brewery has just announced their latest draft-only seasonal – Suburban Farmhouse Ale. Harkening back to the American brewing traditions of the 90s and inspired by afternoons spent at barbecues in the immaculately manicured backyards of suburban America, this 7.3% ABV copper-hued ale is a refreshing classic. Look for this limited-edition Farmhouse to be released in Oregon and Washington beginning Feb 12.
