Craft Beer Invades London’s Fine Dining Scene (London, UK) – You know that craft beer has arrived in the UK when it starts showing up in London’s finest restaurants. Well that’s what’s happening now and it’s changed the face of beverage and cuisine almost overnight in the city. The London Brewers Alliance says there are more than 40 microbrewers within the M25 motorway that encircles the UK capital, and Bloomberg continues that it’s making its way into London’s poshiest eateries.

Kona Owns It on TV (Kailua-Kona, Big Island of Hawaii) – AMC, home to shows like Breaking Bad and Mad Men, has a new reality series called Owner’s Manual debuting this month that tests one of the most common divides among men: those who read the owner’s manual and those who do not. “Episode 4: Brewery” will air August 29 and pits Marcus Hunt and Ed Sanders against each other as they attempt to brew a batch of beer at Kona Brewing in Hawaii.

New Belgium East Set to Spring (Asheville, NC) – New Belgium Brewing will start construction of its delayed $100 million Asheville brewery next spring according to the Citizen-Times and expects to be making beer by the end of 2015.

Brooklyn Brewery’s Swedish Connection (Brooklyn, NY) – As we’ve reported before, Sweden is the Brooklyn Brewery’s second largest market after Brooklyn and The Brooklyn Paper is reporting that about 20% of the visitors who take tours of the beer works are from Sweden. The brewery will soon be hosting BROOKLYN, SWEDEN festival to promote their Stockholm-based brewery, which is planned to open in January 2014.

Texas Poised For Craft Beer Growth (Austin, TX) – The approval of new Texas legislation that allows small production breweries to sell their products directly to customers in the brewery’s tasting room has created a fertile climate for craft beer startups in the state. The Texas Tribune is reporting that Texas craft brewer and brewpub permits are up 64% over two years!

CBA Stocks Up (Portland, OR) – Craft Brew Alliance reported its Q2 earnings last week and confirmed its full-year 2013 outlook. For the first time in the company’s history, according to President Andy Thomas, all CBA brands reported growth in the quarter. CBA reported company-wide depletions growth of 12%. Although the company’s good news sent their stock to an all-time high, there were, however, no reports of dancing in the streets.

A Rumor Mill Release You Want to Look Out For

Indiana’s Daredevil Brewing Company has just announced the release of their newest draft-only seasonal. Carnival is Daredevil’s 8% ABV Belgian-style Saison – look for it to become available in central and southern Indiana beginning August 18.
