Hey the work week is over and it’s time to start planning your Halloween Weekend Well good, because we’re all about it and we’ve got all kinds of ideas for you. From the nation’s most frightening beer festivals and scary movies to some of its most terrifying music and horrifying TV – we’ve got you covered. Plus we’ve a special weekend beer pick for you too, because we know you’ll be drinking!

So welcome to our special Halloween Weekend Picks…

Halloween Weekend Beer Bash In The Big Apple (NYC) – Manhattan a great place to spend Halloween – it’s also become a major league craft beer town. And this weekend (Oct 30^th-31^st) the Hand Crafted Tasting crew will celebrating serious beer (and of course All Hallows Eve) at the NYC Craft Beer Festival Halloween Harvest. Billed as “the best Halloween beer bash in the city,” this year’s two-day, three session throwdown is being held at an exciting new location, Metropolitan West in midtown. Over 75 of the region’s best breweries will be showcasing their serious stash – so you absolutely need to make this Halloween beerganza a part of your weekend. And as it’s Halloween weekend, costumes are not only welcome, they’re encouraged!

On The Big Screen – It’s Halloween, so it’s all about scary movies this weekend and there are plenty to choose from. On the Victorian side Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak and on the “found footage side there’s Paranormal Activities – Ghost Dimension. You can bring your whole family to Goosebumps and Hotel Transylvania 2. And there’s probably even an audience for Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse – just not us.

TV Time – There’s no shortage of horror fare on television either, but if you’re serious about Halloween the AMC Network owns it. Not only are they already showing scary movies 24/7, they’re also home to The Walking Dead and will be debuting a new horror comedy series created by Sam Raimi, Ash vs. Evil Dead.

Witch Craft (Galena, IL) – Halloween and craft beer intertwine when the Halloween Witch Craft Beer Fest makes its debut this Saturday night in the scenic historical river-town of Galena, Illinois. Some 30+ of the region’s best breweries will be attending this cauldron-fest and things are guaranteed to get scary. OUR HALLOWEEN BEER PICK

If ever there was a time to double-down on Pumpkin beers it’s this weekend – and we’ll be doing exactly that with a scary seasonal, that we recently received from Flying Dog. The Fear is Flying Dog’s massive (9% ABV) Imperial Pumpkin Ale – and we’ve already begun hitting it here at the ACB compound.
