The American Craft Beer All CBC Rumor Mill
Welcome to 2016…It’s a brand new year but clearly nothing is slowing down anytime soon. But no worries, Rumor Mill is always on the case, keeping you plugged in to all the craft beer news that matters….And what matters most this week is the upcoming Craft Brewers Conference which is thrown annually by our friends at the Brewers Association. Plus we’ve an all-important update on what we’ve been drinking lately… and you absolutely don’t want to miss that.

World Beer Cup Returns To This Year’s CBC (Philadelphia, PA) – The Craft Brewers Conference also serves as home to the World Beer Cup, an epic competition that was first introduced back in 1996. Sometimes referred to as “the Olympics of beer,” this year’s contest will be judged by an impressive list beer professionals from all around the world – and will honor the top beers in 94 style categories from more than 58 countries. This year promises to be even more competitive than ever, as the craft brewing renaissance continues to reach all corners of the globe.
Words To Drink By (New York, NY) – “Tomorrow belongs to those who can hear it coming”
– David Bowie (1947 – 2016)
BrewExpo 2016 (Philadelphia, PA) – BrewExpo America is the largest brewing conference and trade show in the US, and it also returns as part of the CBC’s annual roadshow. This year’s event promises 600 vendors in one location and a perfect opportunity to network with national and international brewing players. It will also afford visitors a chance to peruse the latest and the best products and services industry has to offer

What We’ve Been Drinking Lately (Baltimore, MD) – We’d like to thank all the breweries who ship us beer from time to time. It’s always great to sample the brews that we write about and helps to give us a better feel for what’s happening out there – and last night we hit up a winter seasonal from Heavy Seas that was a whole lot of fun! Dark, robust and earthy, Heavy Seas Deep Six is a 6.8% ABV English-style Porter that’s a welcome addition at this time of year.
