California is home to some of the best craft brewers in the country, so the Brewers Cup of California competition is about picking the best of the best.

And we’ve all this year’s big winners for you!

Sponsored by Sacramento Area Brewers Guild with support from the Central Coast, Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego brewer’s guilds, this year’s competition received a total of 1,309 entries from 191 independent craft breweries. And a panel of more than 50 expert judges determined the winning beers in 83 categories.

LA’s Arts District Brewing Company was awarded “Best in Show” for its Kindling, a full-bodied classic Helles lager brewed with 20% Beachwood smoked malt. And Tracy, CA-based Morgan Territory Brewery was named brewery of the year.

“The California Craft Brewers Cup the best beers in the state,” said California Craft Brewers Cup Competition Director, Mike Witherow. “The awarded beers are truly of the highest caliber and showcase the talent and dedication of the breweries that made them.”
