Spring is ON, and summer not far away, and American craft brewers are addressing the changing seasons with ambitious new IPA’s you might want to chase down…
Artful Drinking (San Francisco, CA) – The 21st Amendment Brewery is celebrating the official re-opening of its San Francisco brewpub with a special small batch series, the Chalkboard Project which commemorates the creative minds behind chalkboard designs for thousands of beers at breweries across the country.
Brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and Idaho 7 hops by Shaun O’Sullivan Co-Founder and Brewmaster, 21st Amendment Brewery and only available in 16oz 4-packs at their 21st Amendment’s SF Brewpub, That’s Some Kind of Magic is a 6.7% ABV IPA that celebrates art, and the art of brewing.
“Since we opened our doors in 2000, we’ve been making small batches of handcrafted beer, experimenting with flavors and styles and ingredients,” says Shaun O’Sullivan. “Every new beer gets a fun name and a hand-drawn chalkboard plaque, introducing the beer to the public for the first time. Our ‘Chalkboard Project’ is an ode to all of the artful and creative draft lists throughout craft breweries and bars everywhere”
Mount Saint Humulous (Yakima, WA) – Bale Breaker Brewing, a family-owned brewery located in Yakima Valley, is returning a massive limited release with the best name ever. Originally brewed in 2015 as part of the Washington Hop Mob, Bale Breaker Mount Saint Humulous Triple IPA is a 10% ABV India Pale Ale, with a balanced sweetness, intense bitterness, and a light boozy burn.
“Mount Saint Humulus is the first Triple IPA we brewed, and we’ve spent the last few years refining the recipe to make sure it hits with an explosion of hop aromas in each sip,” says Bale Breaker Co-owner & Brewmaster Kevin Smith. “With a 10% ABV and 80 IBU rating, this year’s batch smells like a fresh bag of the finest Yakima Valley hops.”
New In The N/A Corner (Calgary, Canada) – With more craft breweries than ever before, brewing serious non-alcohol beer, ACB is expanding our coverage to include new NA beers that matter. And Partake Brewing has year-round IPA that matters. Brewed with citrusy Cascade, Amarillo and Citra hops tethered to a solid malt backbone, Partake IPA is not only convincing, it’s delicious.
