End Of The Line For Bay Area Brewing Pioneer (San Francisco, CA) – Speakeasy Ales & Lagers closed their doors for what the company referenced as an “for an indefinite period of time.”
Difficulty Securing Capital and outstanding debt obligations led to what the brewery called a “difficult and painful decision and added that the company’s “primary creditor will determine the future of the brewery and brand.”
In Business for over Two Decades, the brewery reportedly increased their production to 90,000 barrels in 2015 and employed more than 40 people as of last Friday.

Narragansett Beer Returns To Rhode Island (Pawtucket, RI) – Narragansett Beer, which stopped its production in Rhode Island in 1983 after a new owner bought the company, is coming home. Their beer is currently being produced in central New York. A new distribution center, tourist destination taproom and restaurant is planning to open soon in Pawtucket and we expect that the world will follow.
BevMo! Partners With DoorDash To Bring Alcohol To Your Door! (California) – DoorDash, a tech company that connects customers with businesses through door-to-door delivery, has partnered with booze titan BevMo!, to allow the delivery of their favorite craft beer, wine, and spirits, directly to their doorsteps. This new partnership is now testing this delivery service from select stores in both the Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay regions. Love it!
