Pravda Brews Craft Beer in Justin Trudeau (Ukraine) – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has become the new ‘Obama’ in the eyes of world. Whether it’s his good looks, his crazy socks, progressive views on pot or simply his politics in general …the dude’s become an international sensation and now he’s got his own craft beer.
Pravda, a Ukrainian Brewery has just debuted a beer they brewed to honor the youthful Prime Minister Canada’s support of the Ukraine in their ongoing conflict with Russia.
Part of Pravda’s Political Series (that already includes an Obama Beer and a Trump Beer as well) Pravda’s Trudeau, a 7.2 % ABV India Pale Ale with a “caramel sweetness from malt which perfectly balances flower hop flavor” is reportedly poised to outsell both of those iconic world leaders!

Alaska’s Recession-Proof Craft Beer Industry (Juneau, AK) – Overall beer consumption in Alaska has declined, but Alaskans’ consumption of craft beer increased 35 percent since 2013, according to a new report from the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
And in spite of Alaska’s ongoing recession (the result of the price of the oil the state produces having fallen significantly on the world market) craft beer produced annually in the 40th state has doubled between 2007 and 2017, from 454,000 gallons to 919,000 gallons.
Brewery and brewpub employment in Alaska has grown dramatically over the last decade and combined totaled 1,261 employees in 2017 according to the Labor and Workforce report.
