Ska Vernal Minthe Returns (Durango, CO) – Ska Brewing has announced the spring release from their Seasonal Stout series and we’re pretty psyched about it. Vernal Minthe Stout, which debuted in March of 2013, has already won a Silver Medal at the European Beer Star Awards. This very special limited release is brewed with peppermint, spearmint, cocoa, and vanilla beans and is scheduled to hit retail today – March 20 – the date of the spring equinox.

RyePA on the Way (Asheville, NC) – With the groundbreaking of their new Asheville facility just a few months away, New Belgium Brewing is celebrating their new brewery coming to life by teaming up with Asheville’s own artisan maltster, Riverbend Malt House. The two collaborated on New Belgium’s latest Hop Kitchen release, RyePA – a 7.5% ABV India Pale Ale, brewed with Carolina Rye and malted by the folks at Riverbend.This special Rye IPA is available in 22 oz. bombers and on draft, while supplies last.

Stone Mixes it Up (Escondido, CA) – Beginning this week, fans in select markets may purchase Stone Brewing’s new Mixed 4-Pack, featuring 2014 Stone Imperial Russian Stout, Stone IPA, Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Black IPA, and Arrogant Bastard Ale. 2014 Stone Imperial Russian Stout will also be available an entire week prior to its national release. This is the first time ever that Stone has pre-released a special release beer to fans. This set of 22 oz. beers makes up the inaugural version of their special 4-Packs; future editions will be introduced on a quarterly basis and include one special-release beer in addition to three year-round releases.

Hammerhead Sighting (Redlands, CA) – Hangar 24 Brewery has just announced the latest release in their Barrel Roll Series and its coming out soon, so be ready.Hangar 24 Barrel Roll Hammerhead is an American Barleywine aged in charred Rye Whiskey and Bourbon barrels. Be forewarned – this one’s aggressive. At 11.2% ABV, this special release delivers. This year’s bottles will be available on two days only, beginning with the launch celebration at the brewery on March 29.

Vermont Brewery Rocking It (Morrisville, VT) – A favorite of ours, Rock Art Brewery just announced a couple of new beers that you need to know about. Both their Vermont Maple Wheat Ale, a 5.4% ABV spring seasonal brewed with locally sourced maple syrup, and their popular 8% ABV Belvedere Big IPA are currently available on draft and in 22 oz. bottles.
